After completing a Bachelor of Commerce Degree at St Mary’s University, Rena moved to Montreal to study Marketing and Communications at College La Salle. Following her studies she decided to make the move to London, England to establish a career in the fashion industry. She started at the flagship store for Italian brand Marni and went on to consult in marketing and sales for a number of British fashion designers. This consultancy ultimately lead to launching her own public relations company in 2012.
After 10 years in the UK she returned to Nova Scotia to establish roots with her family where they now call Waverley home. Once a week she volunteers on the operations committee of the Waverley Heritage Museum, and sits on the board of directors. Her love of history extends to her love of old century homes. Having just completed a restoration on an 1860s farmhouse in Lahave with her husband she comes with first hand experience of what it takes to bring these beautiful homes back to life.
Rena has been working as a full-time REALTOR since 2021. In 2023 she and her father Davis Sala, who has been in real estate for over 30 years, decided to team up to combine both of their areas of expertise and offer a full package service to their clients.
