I believe that one of the most important characteristics of a Real Estate agent is honesty. So instead of giving you the typical real estate bio that I was born and raised in Halifax (which I was) and that I’m passionate about educating people through their real estate transactions (which I am), I’m going to be honest & get down to the nitty gritty.
You’ll probably agree with me, there are a ton of realtors out there. So how do you choose only one? I’m here to tell you that choosing a Realtor shouldn’t feel like flipping a coin. Whether buying or selling, it is imperative that you trust who you’re working with for both financial and legal reasons. I see contracts day in and day out and I tell you this to gain your trust, not to scare you – not all agents are created equal.
So why am I different? I started my real estate career in Toronto and I worked for one of the largest franchise companies in Canada alongside the top 1 % of Realtors. After turning down two tempting job offers, I decided it was time to move my business home and bring my honed skills back to Halifax. I worked at the Domus Realty office for over three years and I am thrilled to have made the move to work alongside the Red Door family.
Something you may not know about me – before getting into real estate, I spent 12 years performing professionally in musical theatre across the country. Some of my favourite roles? I loved playing Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, understudying Maria in West Side Story at Neptune Theatre, and playing Josie Pye in Anne of Green Gables at Theatre Calgary. Theatre was a huge part of my ‘prior’ life, and I credit my outgoing personality, hard work ethic and love for people to my past career.
When I’m not negotiating contracts, I love to take classes at RStudios, you may see me walking my labradoodle Cooper, and I am proud to sit on the Board at Neptune Theatre.
You only have one chance to sell your home, so let’s get it right.
